Experience visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam by President KU.

After half a year of preparation, KAOSEA was finally officially established! One of the foundational purposes of the establishment of this association is to lead young students to Southeast Asia to experience this region that is attracting the attention of the world!
Over the past three decades, the world is still changing rapidly. Under the influence and impact of globalization and regionalization, the originally backward Southeast Asia changes its economic outlook, which is becoming a concern because of the increasing foreign investment, not only driving the economic development of Southeast Asian countries but also improving the living standards of the people in this area. The Southeast Asia region, which was originally rich in history, culture, and natural resources, has gone from an unnoticed villager to young adults who wants to explore. The future is full of unlimited potential.
One of the most important tasks for KAOSEAS during the preparation period was to recruit young students to visit Southeast Asian countries. The main targets of our visits are Taiwanese companies in Southeast Asia because Taiwanese companies have invested in Southeast Asia for 20 plus years. Also, they made significant contributions to the economic development of East Asian countries. When we visited Taiwanese companies, we can not only experience the entrepreneurial spirit of Taiwanese companies but also get to know the local countries in Southeast Asia. Taiwanese investment in Vietnam ranks first in Southeast Asia, and Ho Chi Minh City is the most important area for Taiwanese investment in Vietnam. Therefore, we choose Ho Chi Minh City as the top choice for visiting!
Since this KAOSEAS has just been established and outsiders were not familiar with us, the process of recruiting students wasn't smooth. At first, few students applied. Later, through the efforts of all parties, not only did the group set off gradually, but the number of people also exceeded the group expectation (16 people to form a group). It is full of countless grace!
The members participating in this event are quite diverse, including teachers, postgraduates, college students, and graduates, many of whom do not even know each other. Except for myself and Professor Dai Wan-Ping, all members were traveling to Ho Chi Minh City for the first time. In these seven days of exploration activities, everyone built friendships and gain knowledge as well as traveling experience!
This visit had an educational purpose, so each member wrote an experience report; which not only strengthen the learning effect of the visit but also kept as a commemorative, a learning reference for other visits in the future!
Finally, this visit to Ho Chi Minh City was the first activity organized by KAOSEAS to visit Southeast Asia. We hope to continue to hold it and hope that by editing this experience report, we will open a new record for our association and establish the foundation for the KAOSEAS’s future activities.
